Having known and worked with Yaw for 5 years, I have seen him grow into an inspirational young man. From the moment I met him, I knew that he was destined for greater things. His drive and determination is endless and I have learnt so much from him, He has inspired me in my work with young people and given me confidence to take calculated risks to get to where I am now. His faith in me and his words of encouragement during difficult times helped me develop a resilience that I didn’t know I had. I’m thrilled to see him doing so well. Keep it up Yawza!

I have known Yaw since him came up to me in 2005 and told me he and his cousin had written a song about my brother and wanted to make a video.

I was touched and to be honest apprehensive about what it included and why someone who maybe met my brother only a few times could produce. After hearing the song and picturing the lyrics, I wondered how men, these young men; could capture the hearts of a community, my family and a nation.

Yaw, Kof and Urbeatz, have been one of the catalysts for helping me to realise and fulfill my potential as a black woman in Liverpool. They through there own kindness they have supported me, comforted me, even at times counselled me on the ways to go.

They are truly men after my own heart, and I thank God each day for bringing them into my life. This interview captured a small fraction of the work they do and the mind and hearts they have changed due to their nature, advice, guidance and the fact they are always there and always reliable.

They deserve every success in the future and I will be one of many to support them throughout all there endeveours in the future.

The words You can do all things through christ come to mind, Phillipians 4:13, and I believe that Yaw and Urbeatz will continue to flourish in all they do.

Loved the interview, a very thought provoking and honest insight into Yaw, the Face, spokeperson and founder of Urbeatz.

An absolute inspiration.

I’m sure someday people will be quoting Yaw in the same way he quotes Ghandi today. The world is a better place because Yaw exists in it. Respect and much love, Anna

Yaw is an amazing young man with a vision and talent that many would envy. His drive and energy nevers ceases to surprise me. I have known him since the beginning of his dream for Urbeatz and am so proud of what he has achieved so far.

I once predicted that Yaw will be a force to be reckoned with in the Liverpool community and even has the qualities to make an excellent Prime Minister sometime in his future. I still hold with this.

I wish him love and success in all his endeavours and hope that he continues to enjoy what he does. He is the sort of young man who our younger people need to look up to.
