There’s nothing

There’s nothing

nothing

A Poem By Poet Ivy

There’s nothing you can do to shake me,

Because…
…I have seen agony and anguish
I have been beaten up and punished
I have been backstabbed by my peers
I have mingled with failure and fears
I have smiled in the furious face of sorrow
I have been told by the doctors I would not see tomorrow
I have walked with a hunch back like I was from Notre-Dame
I have real enemies that have done me real harm

There’s nothing you can do to break me

Because…
…I have been heartbroken thrice
I have been dumped twice
Love hates me
Lust only tricks me
I have been depressed,
Oppressed,
Suppressed,
The doctor accessed
Me and stressed
the fact that I’m mentally stressed.

There’s nothing you can do to re-make me,

Because…
…I have been everyones puppet on the string
My former woman had many a fling
I don’t sleep at night cause nightmares keep me up
I have seen utter rage from the bulls
I have been classed a ‘cool fool’
I have been booed at the Emirates cos I wore sky blue
Even been forced to go to Paris to attend ‘The Festival of Fools’

You can’t shake me, you can’t break me, you can’t remake me.

I have seen saddists,
I have heard hypocrites,
All tried to belittle me
But, yet I stand tall like the burj
Even climate change couldn’t change me
I remain indomitable like a lion
Cos in all of this I heard his voice
I seeked his words
He abided with me
He gave me hope and courage
He showed me the light at the tunnels end.
He was more than a friend.
He’s a healer and he never pretends;

(Sighs)

His name is,
His
Name
Is…
….Jesus.
Please please please thank him for me.

LET ME KNOW, LET ME KNOW

LET ME KNOW, LET ME KNOW

The Real Me

A Poem By Iverson Chucks

Let me know,
Let me know,
Do I still have to be a pretender?
They like it when your life’s got more drama than EASTENDERS,
You see some folks have no emotions
Very selfish folks wish your life has beaucoup confusion & commotion;

Let me know,
Let me know,
Why do some guys give love a bad name?
Inflicting selfish sordid pain,
Not recognising a true womans worth
All playing games back and forth

Dave is a pretender, not a big star
He’s fabricated like most rap stars
They forced him all along to play this part
How long would all this last?

I myself, I play a part they rather see
All I gotta do is not be me
Oh, I’ll never win an OSCAR, I feel so odd
I’m a smokescreen, I’m just a dud,
Even when I’m hurting I don’t let it show
I pretend I’m perfect & I go with the flow

Is this me…
…is this really me?
I’m just not here;
People are just not fair
I’m a great pretender
Some people prefer me weak and tender

We are all influenced by someone at times
Something like a copycat
We seek to blend in & follow the herd
I tried to celebrate my uniqueness,
But to no avail yet; life’s just not fair
A lot of folks are faker than weave hair

I’ll forget about social contagion,
And today I’m gonna be me
Would you love me for being me?
I am who I am, but you people make me
Change and re arrange me
Even if you folks appear like the calvary in a western movie,
Today, I swear I must be me.

dud- flop, wasteman, failure.
beaucoup- alot, many
social contagion- “i’ll have what she’s having”, kinda attitude.

Andrea Photiou

Andrea Photiou is the 25 years old entrepreneur and Co-founder and CEO behind Playvybz Media Group Ltd.

She was named Runner-up Young Entrepreneur of Year 2008 and also an ambassador for Make Your Mark.

Andrea has always had a passion for music which led to her starting playvybz, and it was the same hunger and desire that made her chase her passion for music, a decision which you could say was shocking as she could have gone the easier route of becoming a professional author, her family, tutors alike felt this was the appropriate path, it only makes sense for someone that was a fluent reader at three years old, by 8, she could read like a 16 years old, so i guess it kind of made sense.

Instead, She took the path of becoming a DJ as that love and hunger for music just couldn’t leave her alone, she started on her journey, performing in clubs and wooing the crowds, then she decided to started to start her own radio station, an online radio station in 2007 which as she described “A radio station with a difference” with the help of Businesses, Sound and IT Consultants

She has different section to the business such as Playvybz Solutionz, a copy-writing service offered by the radio station , Her company also offers young people as well as passionate people of all ages a chance to enter the often competitive Media industry through its training arm; the Playvybz Academy.

The Playvybz Family, consisting of DJs and hosts of all musical and journalistic persuasions; conduct training sessions on-site as well as in London schools.

I say she is building a very big empire, Choice FM Watch out or perhaps take note…
