The SOLA AWARDS was born from the Damilola Taylor trust after thinking of a way to celebrate young people of London, especially those hard working citizens that have constantly been in the shadow or considered minority because of the negative headline that only gets our attention .
The Trust which wanted to use the award show as a celebration of positive role models in the community.
The awards will be open to individuals or groups of young people who work together to make their local communities better places.
The 2009 award show showcased the likes of Brooke kinsella, Lemar, JLS, diversity, Ashley walters, Robbie craig, sir Michael caine, speech debelle, , DJ Ironik, Alexandra burke and others.
It makes you wonder what they got up their sleeves this time, but im sure it will be worth it.

This years award show will be at the Indigo O2 on Saturday 27th November!
While the nominations will launch to the public formally at the end of August through The Sun, London Evening Standard and Kiss FM you can already post any nominations you have in the various categories if you visit www.spiritoflondonawards.com/test and click on the nomination button on the home page.
We are delighted also that The Mayor of London is supporting us again this Year by making the opening speech on the night
